A Pleasing Sight. —“ Within a few minutes’ walk from Blenheim,” says the Express, “ at this moment, may be seen a most magnificent sight. At Mr C. Redwood’s homestead at Riverlands, we yesterday noticed a field, one mile and a-half in extent, of the finest wheat which has ever come under our observation. It is fast approaching maturity, and the yield is expected to be upwards of 10,000 bushels. Mr Redwood's crop, last year, was 6.000 bushels.”
Strathallan Anniversary.—Tomorrow the 17th iustaut, is the anniversary day of the arrival of the Strathallan in 1859, with tbe emigrants from England, from that day Timaru may be said to date its rise, and consequently it has always been marked as a holiday.
