iv-Hai AxtiJ TO-juvSiS-GiT, A SOjVG. (Aia, —Cottage by the Sea.) iiiyihe and merry, light au<X free: See him pluck the sparkling daisy, W atch him hunt the humming bee. O, hehath no care nor sorrow, In his heart, young, light, and free: Little thinks he of the morrow. In his childhood's mirthful glee. *.mi now a youth so guy and happy, * ixOyQ Sits UpOu brO"w, love’s soft joys are stealing o’er him, _ Dreams more bright than summer’s glow. O, he hath not care nor sorrow, in his heart, young, blithe, and tree. Littlß thinks h© of the morrow. Or of changes that must be. Now a man in grace and vigor, Mark his step of stately pride. See him lead to Hymen’s altar. Proud and happy, his young bride, fitill he hath not care nor sorrow, In his fond heart, light and free. Still he thinks not of the morrow. Nor how brief his joys may be. Now amidst his olive-branches, (Listen to their mirth and glee) Joining in their merry pleasures, Who so happy ohw as he? "Why should he feel care or sorrow, In his heart so blest and free ? Why forecast of griefs to-morrow. Or ol troubles that may be ? Life’s young dreams are gay and happy, Age comes onward sad and slow. Withering hopes and joys departing Mark our progress as we go. We are bom to care aad-sorrow,' Why repine at what must be ? Enjoy to-day; fear not Sp-morrow; Sufficient when ii to thee. Q.
