Certificates of Exemption from Pilotage under the 16th Section of “ The Marine Act, 1866,” will be issued on application to the Marine Department, Wellington j or, to the Collectors of Custom a at Auckland, Napier, New Plymouth, Nelson, Lyttelton, Hokitika, Dunedin, and the Bluif. Every person making application for any such Certificate must turmsn a certificate from the Harbor Master or principal Nautical Officer of the Port or Ports iu respect of which the exemption is claimed, that such person is qualified to conduct and navigate his vesselinto and out of such Port or Ports, and must also state the name of the vessel commanded by him.
