Until further provision bo made in that behalf, Certificates of Exemption from Pilotage under the 16th Section of “ The Marine Act, 1866,” will be issued on application to the Marine Department, Wellington ; or, to the Collectors of Customs at Auckland, Napier, New Plymouth, Nelson, Lyttelton, Hokitika, Dunedin, and the Bluff. Every person making application for any such Certificate must furnish a certificate from the Harbor Master or principal Nautical Officer of the Port or Ports in respect of wbieh the exemption is claimed, that such person is qualified to conduct and navigate his vesselinto and out of such Port or Ports, and must also stats the name of the vessel commanded by him.
