MISCELLANEOUS.
The cutter Dolphin cleared at the Customs on Tuesday last for Wairoa and Mahia. The cutter Mahia cleared at the Customs yesterday afternoon for Blackhead. The s.s. Lord Ashley is due from Auckland on Friday next, 14th inst.; and will leave for the South, with the English mail via Suez, on Saturday, 15th inst., at noon. The s.s. Wellington is due from Southern Forts on Tuesday, 18th inst., and will leave for Tauranga and Auckland on Wednesday, 19th inst. A schooner, probably the Celt, from Auckland, was working up the Bay as we went to press this forenoon. Thu Bat. —There has evidently been a heavy gale outside, for the sea in the Bay last night and this morning was very high, breaking over the bar and far up the beach, a striking contrast to the smooch appearance of the Afautiri Hoads for the past few days.
