Richardson, agent. Tub K.Z.S.K. Co.’s a.s. Wellington, Captain Benner. arrived kero early yesterday morning from Southern Provinces, bringing ,a largo cargo and several passengers, particulars of which will be found above, hue leaves for Tauranga and Auckland this day at noon. The Colonial Government s.s. St. Kilda, Capt. Kennedy, arrived in the roadstead at 7.30 yesterday morning, bringing with her the whole of the guard, with the exception of four who have been elk behind to take charge of the Government

stores, winch were stationed at the Chatham Islands ; they are 21 in all, 13 Europeans and the remainder Maoris. The St. Hilda left Wellington for Mana Island on the Ist inst., with stores ; arrived there the same evening; landed stores ; and steamed for the Chathains on the 3rd, with strong S.W. wind, which continued till 4 p.m. on the 4th. From that time till making the Islands on the 7tb, had moderate weather. Left Chatham Islands for IS apier on the 15th ; had light winds till noon of the I6th, when she encountered strong N.E. gale, with heavy sea. Next day, weather moderated, sea still very high ; 4 p.m., wind went round to the S.W., blowing hard. Brought up in Ahuriri Hoads at 7.30 a.m. on the 18th instant. We believe the St. Hilda will leave for Poverty Bay in a day or twa.

The Pakza Co.’s s.s. Egmont, Captain Vine Hall, arrived from Wellington yesterday morning, with cargo and passengers for this port. It will be seen by advertisement elsewhere that she leaves for Auckland this day at one p.m. The cutter Lady Wynyard sailed for Auckland yesterday with a cargo of cattle. The s.s. Star of the South was taking in cattle for Auckland last evening, and will probably get away during the course of the day.
