Commercial Intelligence.
SYDNEY. The Sydney ‘Empire,’ 22nd June, reports as follows : The usual weekly sales of wool and sheepskins were held to-day, but the quantity offered was so small that a special report is not necessary. Altogether 76 bales were offered, and 66 sold, of which the a only lots worth notice were FW, 16 bales fleece wool, in grease, sold by Mr J. Brewster, at 7£d ; and M and Co., 12 bales ditto, sold by Messrs Mort and Co., at 8d per lb. Sheepskins were in fair supply, but were not much in request, and several parcels were bought in. Prices to-day exhibited a decline in value of from id to fd per lb., probably in consequence of the continued wet weather, which has prevented the working of skins on hand, and has necessarily rendered the fellmongers careless about increasing their stocks.
