TRUST IN GOD AND DO THE BIGHT. /•'fOTTBAGE, brother, do not stumble, Though thy path be dark as night. . There’s a star to guide the humble j Trust In God and do the right. let thy road be rough and dreary, And its end far oat of sight; Toot it bravely, strong or weary, Trust in God, and do the right. ; Ferish policy and cunning, Perish all that fears the light; , ffhether losing, whether winning. Trust in God, and do the right. Trust no party, sect, or faction, Trust but one leader in life’s fight 1 And, in every word and action. Trust in God, and do the right. Trust no delusive forms of passion, Friends may look like seraphs hrigut ■' Trust no custom, school, or fashion, But look to God, and do the right. Borne may hate thee, others love thee. Some may flatter some may slight: Cease from man and look above thee, Trust in God, and do the right. Then, when life's journey here is ended, And thou’rt removed from earthly sight, Thy praise in Heaven, with angels blended. Shall ceaseless sound, and all be right, —lTew Zealand Guardian. Taeanak.l.
