Thuesday, 21st Jtoe. (Before H. B. Sealy, Esq.. J.P.) DETTNEENNESS. John Johnston was fined 5s for being drunk and incapable of managing a horse he was riding. Thomas George, a stableman in the employ of Captain Hunter, was likewise fined 5s for drukenness. Friday, 22nd June. (Before John Curling, Esq., R.M.) Civil. CASES, Danvers v. Campbell.—A claim of £1 12s 3d for board and lodging. Judgment for 10s and costs, 7s. Campbell v. Danvers.—A claim of £1 Is 6d the amount of an 1.0. U. Judgment for £1 and costs, 7s. BEEACH OE POLICE ACT. Timothy Cleary was charged with wilfully remaining at such a distance from his vehicle while in motion as not to have command of the horse drawing the same, contrary to the provisions of the Hawke s Bay Police Act. Defendant pleaded that the vehicle was not his, nor was he in charge of it; but that he saw a horse running away with a cart, stopped it, and put up the blinkers, which were hanging loose.—Case dismissed. Saxtjedat, 23kd Jens, dedneenness. George Duigan was fined 5s for drunkeness.
