These hare been but two arrivals since our last, —the ‘ Auckland,’ from Auckland, and the ‘ Star of the South ’ from Poverty Bay. The latter left this port for Poverty Bay on Friday last, with a cargo of sheep. She arrived there at 2 a.m. on Saturday, but owing to a S.E. gale springing up shortly after, she was prevented from discharging her sheep until the morning of Tuesday, sth inst., on which day she landed them all in good order and condition. She loft Poverty Bay at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, and arrived here at 10 a.tn. yesterday. She leaves for the same place this day, with another cago of sheep. The steamer St. Hilda steamed for the Chathams yesterday with another batch of those infactuated people, termed “ Hau-haus." The s.s. Auckland steamed for Southern Provinces yesterday.-'about noon. The s.s. Claud Hamlton is due hero on Wednesday next, from Auckland. The schooner Queen, Schon, master; and the ketch Sailors’ Bride, Pani, master, both leave for Te Wairoa this'd'ay, with full cargoes merchandise. The s.s. Taranaki, from Wellington, had not arrived up to the hour of our going to press.
