ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF WAIMARAMA. IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” I, P. J. Tiffen, Esq., Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waimarama, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the 21st day of May, 1866, issued under the hand of the Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, in lieu of E. S. Curling, Esq., resigned ; and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at E. S. Curling’s Woolshed, Oero, at noon, on MONDAY, the fourth day of June, 1866; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on TUESDAY, the fifth day of June, 1866; and the declaration of the Poll will be made on THURSDAY, the seventh day of June, 1866. VOLUNTEER NOTICE. TTNTIL further orders the Volunteers in the t—* Hawke’s Bay District will parade for inspection of Arms and Drill as follows : The Waipawa Cavalry Volunteers, the first Tuesday in each month, commencing with TUESDAY, the sth proximo, at 11 a.m., for inspection, after which they will drill till 1 p.m.; break off for one hour; fall in again at 2, and drill till 4. The Napier Rifle Volunteers, for Inspection of Arms, the first Saturday in each Month, at 7 o’clock a.m. By order, E.
