ELECTORAL DISTRICT oITnAITeE IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “ The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” I, John Curling, Esq., Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Napier, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the tenth day of May, 1866, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, in lieu of WILLIAM COLENSO, Esq., resigned; and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Napier, at noon, on TUESDAY, the twentysecond day of May, 1866; and that the Poll (if necessary) will bo taken on WEDNESDAY, the twenty-third day of May, 1866 j and that the state of the Poll will be declared at the close thereof.
