MOHAKA.
[e*o3£ A COSSESrONDENT.] 20th April. A vest great bustle took place here to-day. Between 150 and 200 natives left here for the seat of war. They were all mounted, except about ten. All had their trusty rifles, bayonets, &c. They looked very well indeed, and I think we will hear some good news shortly. They have left here to fight Kereopa and his party, whom they say are within about twenty miles of To Wairoa, and I am sure every one hero wishes them success. Next Friday is Court day. One case is really worth notice. A half-caste, belonging to the Colonial Forces, threatened to shoot Mr Sim. This case seems to he rather a knotty one, and I think there are perhaps faults on both sides. The river is nearly closed, there being little or no water on the bar. 27th April The only case before the Resident Magistrate, (S. Deighton, Esq., 8.M.,) yesterday was that of Mr John Sim, on a charge of selling spiritious liquors to natives, for which he was mulcted in (he fine of £S and boats.
