Good Tikes job ‘WAisßacEir.—During th* consideration of the Auckland Municipal Police BUI in committee of the Auckland Provincial Council, several instances of very exorbitant charges made by watermen were narrated. la one instance an hon. member stated that he had paid £3 for about twenty minutes hire of boat in Auckland harbor, and another case waa narrated where had been demanded, and £2 10b. paid, for about an hour’s use of a boat in the Manutau. These must indeed have been good tisiw for the wstenasa of Auckland.
