The favorit e steamer Beautiful Star, Captain H. Morwick, , left Napier on the evening of Wednesday, the 21st ult.; had flue weather to the East Cape, which she doubled on Thursday morning, and, since then, had northerly winds. With thick weather, until arriving at the Taraaki, at 5 p.m. on Friday, the 2nd hist. Discharged 1030 sheep in-good condition, not having 10-. t one on the passage. After lan ding the sheep, proceeded up the harbor, where she arrived at noon on the 3rd; hauled alongside the wharf, and took in about 50 tons general merchandise for Napier. At 10 p.m. on Monday, tbo sth inst., left Auckland. On Wednesday, the 7th, rounded the East Cape; and arrived here at 9 arm. on Thursday, the StU inst. Had moderate weather throughout the passage. While crossing the Bay of Plenty experienced heavy sea from the N.E. Passed the steamer Queen off Table Caps on Wednesday night. MISCDLLANEOUS. The s.s. St. Hilda, Captain Kennedy, steamed for the East Ooa?t on Thursday last. The p.s. Huntress, Captain W. G. Cellem, left for Wairoa On Thursday night- last. The barque Shelbourae, Captain Lowe, had not sailed from Loudon up to latest dates. The s.s. Beautiful star, Capt. Morwick,took her departure for Auckland on Saturday last, with another full cargo of ■flueep. Tile N.Z.S.N. Co.’s s.s. Queen, Captain Thompson, may he expected here on Friday, the 16th inst. The N.Z.S.N. Co.’s s.s. Bangatira, Captain Seymour, is due from Southern Ports oa Friday, the 16th inst. The schooner Saucy Lass, Contain 31‘Kenzie, hence the 20th ult., arrived at Auckland on the 3rd inst. The p.s. Sturt, Captain Fairchild, arrived at Auckland on the morning of the 4th inst., from Opotiki, bringing up tho murderers ol Mr Fuiioou and the crew of the cutter Kate. The Auckland papers contain the account of the launch of a large topsail schooner at Onehunga, huilt by Mr Ilutoh son, of that place, she was named the Stanley. i The schooner Kiwi, Captain Bryers, of llokianga, Is miss'ng. sbo left the Grey River for Hokianga some six weeks ftg.', .and has not been heard of since. The s.s. Star of the South, the wreck of which we reported a few days’ ego. has been disposed of for the sum of £2,604, much to me surprise of everybody. Her purchaser Is Mr F. Bullen, of Hokitika. The schooner Rapid, winch left Auckland on the 2Gth of December, had not arrived up to latest dates. Considerable anxiety is manifested for her safety.
