These have been but two arrivals since Monday, the Lord Ashley from Auckland, and the Queen from Southern Ports, with the English November mail j but it will be teen by our list of expected arrivals that there is a whole deet of vessels on the berth for this port, sorner-of whom may arrive at any moment; so we may confldently look forward to greater activity in shipping matters ere many days. The departures comprise the barque Sunbeam, for London direct, on Monday last; the schooner Vivid (which had been lying in the roadstead, wind-bound, since Friday last) for Wairoa on Monday night; the steamer Queen for Auckland yesterday; and the steamer Lord Ashley for Southern Forts yesterday, conveying the return homeward maiL This latter was detained here till 6 p.m. yesterday, in order to give the public more time to reply to English letters, received late on Tuesday night. MISCELLANEOUS. The clipper barque Sunbeam, Captain Lovell took her departure for London direct on Monday last. She had to beat out of the Bay—a strong sea breeze blow ing all day. The following is the recapitulation of the Sunbeam’s cargo —l*36 bales (440,375 lbs) wool; 42 bundles (3,764 lbs) sheep skms; Id casks (9,366 lbs) tallow. Value, £22,310 Passenger—Captain Da Lacey, 12th Regt. The 5.9. Beautiful star. Captain Morwlck. hence the 31st ult., arrived at the Tamaki on the 2nd inst.
