Sporting. —A match, for £25 a-side has been made up for a race on the Beach at Napier, at low water on Saturday, the 10th inst., between Mr Watt’s blk. g. Chrysalis, and Mr Hague’s .blk. g. Euclid.. The stakes are already in the hands of the stakeholder, (Mr GK E. G-. Richardson); and the racing powers of at least one of the above horses (Euclid) being well-known in Napier, we may except to see a goodly muster of spectators on the beach on Saturday next. We may state that Euclid will be ridden by Mr Jas. Hague, and Chrysalis (who is a new horse, having lately arrived from Auckland in the Beautiful Star,; by Mr John Powdrell.
