FURTHER PROROGATION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

The General Assembly of New Zealand is further prorogued,—a General Government Gazette, dated 20th January, containing a proclamation to that effect. Tuesday, the 20th day of February nest, is the day fixed, but it must be borne in mind that the existing Parliament will not be called together again, and that, therefore, no meeting will take place until after the general elections. We have reason to believe that the Assembly will not be called together for some months to oome—probably not before June or July next.
