Promissory Notes for a ’ike amount will also have to bo given by intending Immigrants to the Provincial Agent in Loudon. If the person coming, or his Agent, accepts of a passage and refuses or neglects to avail thereof after notice has been given in writing that tbo vessel is to sail, the party so doing shall be liable to forfeit half of the passage money. * In the event of death on the voyage half only of the passage money shall bo charged. The passage money is advanced in the first instance by the Provincial Government, subject to repayment iu four equal half-yearly instalments of £4 10b. each, commencing from the date of arri val at Napier. I, DONALD M‘LEAN, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim that a sale of Crown Lands will take place at the Crown Lands Office, Napier, on WEDNESDAY, 29th November 1865, when the allotments ofland specified in the Schedule hereunto annexed, except such as may be reserved under the pro vision hereinafter mentioned, and which have been duly certified by the Commissioner of Crown Lands on the application of intending purchasers as being unavailable for agricultural purposes, will be put up to public auction at the upset price of 5s per acre, in accordance with the Land Regulations of the 4th March 1853 and the additional Regulations for the amendment and extension of the said Regulations recommended by the Superintendent and the Council for the province of Wellington (Session 2) to the Governor. If at any time during the sale it may appear to the Commissioner of Crown Lauds beneficial or expedient for the public service to reserve from sale either of the sections specified in the said Schedule, or to vary the order in which they are to be put up, he is hereby authorised to do so.
