LONDON WOOL REPORT. July 26. Since last sales few enquiries and small profit on contracts mads. Extensive consumption in the North has made trade brisk. Last sales’ rates are not expected to be maintained, owing to heavy ■unexpected supplies. For immediate consumption a quantity of Cape wool changed hands at former prices. August 10. The wool sales will commence on the 17th August, the number of bales amounting to 140,000. Since last sales there has been a good business done, at a slight reduction for combing wools and finer descriptions, but high prices anticipated. Consols, 89f to 90 on delivery. Bank of England discount minimum 3 per cent.; prices in stock and share marked have generally declined.
