TO TEE EDITOR OF THE TIMES. Snt, —In my letter which appeared in your issue of Monday, I did NOT insinuate (as the Herald says) that Mr Kennedy did not vote against the Government on Mr Buchanan’s amendment that Napier should have six members instead of jive. That gentleman (Mr Kennedy) could not help himself. When the next election comes off for the Town, he may stand a slight chance of being returned as one of our representatives; but, had he, on Friday last, on the question of Representation, given his vote for the Government, it would certainly be no use of him standing as a candidate, — I am, fyc., FAIE PLAY. Napier, October 5, 1863.
