Henry, from Poverty Bay—repairing Iris, cutter—repairing Lady Bird, from Wairoa Success, from Auckland St. Kilda. from the Coast MARITIME NOTES. The favorite clipper schooner Success, Captain G. Frost, left Auckland at ten a.tn. on Friday, the 22nd September. Had light westerly winds to the East Cape. From thence to port had strong northetiy winds; and made her anchorage about 8 o’clock on the evening of Monday last. Entered the Iron Pot at ten the next morning. While off the East Cape on Sunday passed the schooner Tawera, from Poverty Bay, bound for Auckland. The Success brings a full general cargo and twenty-six passengers, mostly immigrants per ship King of Italy, from Loudon. The s.s. Beautiful Star, Captain Morwick, left Auckland on Tuesday night, at 7 o’clock. Experienced very heavy westerly winds, with dirty weather, to the East Cape, which she passed at midnight on Wednesday. From thence to Portland island had strong southers, with heavy head sea, when the wind fell. From thence to Napier had a light southerly breeze, with fine weather. Arrived at ten o’clock on the morning of Friday, the 29th. Captain Morwick reports that the s.s. Queen, Captain Cellcm, left Auckland for Napier at two p.m. on Saturday, the 23rd. While off the East Cape on Sunday broke her main shaft, and had to put back to Auckland under sail, where she arrived at 5 o’clock on the morning of the 2Glh
