REPORTED FIGHT AT WANGANUI.

FIFTY MAORIS KILLED AND WOUNDED. [Fromthe New Zealander.] We have information by means of a private •letter received by a gentleman of this city, from Taranaki, that news was received at that place on the 13th instant, of an engagement at Wanganui, in which 50 Maoris were killed and wounded. The letter received in Taranaki was from Captain Pennefather, but the particulars were not given in the letter by our informant. It is conjectured, however, that the party under Lieut.-Coiouel Colville has been engaged with the enemy.
