I, Donald M‘Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay aforesaid, do hereby notify and proclaim that the land described *in th* annexed Schedule is reserved from Public Sale for purposes of special settlement under the additional Land Regulations of the Province of Wellington, of the 15th February, 1855, from the day of the date hereof. Boundaries: Commencing at Oraka, thence it runs to Pareihe* thence to Mangaroa, thence to Punawehiwehi, to Otamoana, to Eaitangi Karoro, to Hautaroa, Mangaowhau, Tikopu, Pakake-a-Makere, Wakakau«>ii, A Hika Tupuni Wairenganui, Pukewhatu, Maungatea, and the sea; thence on the Ahimanawa and to Taramahiti te Moemotu, te Ika, a-Tama-te-Hoe-te Wakatahoe te Eereru Maota, Mokotoi te Mahia, te Waha o Tounga, te Upoka o Tataramoa, Papawha-Eaanga, Taki taki te Pakipaki, and thence to Oraka, the ceramencement of the boundaries. A piece is to be reserved for the natives at Einitini under the hill called Taupiri, as a fishing residence, as more particularly shown on the plan annexed to the Deed of Sale. Nun aka Block —lo,ooo Acres. Boundaries: Commencing at the mouth of the Nuhaka river and follows the course of that river to lat. 300 South, being the Northern Boundary of the Province of Hawke’s Bay; thence following that meridian in an easterly direction to a line starting from Tamata o rika to Taumatakaingakaka, thence to Teikatieri, Taumata o te Tahinga, Ngawhakatakariri, Pukateanui Tamahini a Tutaorau, Parihikanui; here it descends to the coast, and follows the coast to Waikokopu to Huki Takararoa, te Iho-o-to-rataau, Touruti-te-awa-a-tamatea, Waitauiwha, Warn err: a Hou bou o tu, te Araputa Waitio Whataroa, and the mouth of the Nuhaka tho commencement of the boundary. Lowcb Waiuoa Block —Bs7o Acres. Boundaries: Commencing at the Waiotureia, and goes thence to Papa o te Uetaha to Whanga a te Euruku, Hem heru, te Wai o te Manu i leka, te Eaonsa ; here it descends into the Waivoa, and follows the Wairoa upwards to the Whakahu ; hero it loaves the Wairoa, and ascending tho Rauhirihiri Creek it goes on to the Ahimanawha descending thence into the Eounui Creek, it follows the Hounui Creek to the beach to Whakatnahu, thence along the beach to Eungiiioua. and from llangihou, to the mouth of the Wairoa at te Ari o Tapuae ; thence it follows the Wairoa to te V\ aioturei, the commencement of the boundary. Upper Waiuoa Block—l,ooo Acres.
Boundaries: Commencing at the Waiotureia, the boundary of the laud ceded to the Queen, thence it follows the Wairoa Eircr upwards to the fence of Pero, W. Lockwood ; here leaving the Wairoa, it goes inland to Te Noti a Xapau ; thence by the Ara Totaki to Rakautihia, and to the Wai o to Manu i te Ea, which is its junction with the boundary ot the land sold to the Government fay Paora, Hipora, and Pitiera. Waihtta Block—2l,ooo Acres. Boundaries: Commencing on the coast at Mangapukatea' thence proceeds inland ascending to WaiorangL thence to Taumaro o te Pakipaki, thence to Hinepaka, thence to Waha o te Eangi, thence to the Whakaruarumaru, thence to Puketoi, thence to Whdrekai, thence to Kaihunahuna, thence to the Hinu, thence along the path till it reaches I£ai Matariki, and from Kai Matariki to Haraungamea thence to Wairama ; here it descends into the source of Waihua, and follows the course of Waihua to the coast, and then proceeds along the coast, to Mangapuketea, the commencement of the boundary.
