I, Donald M'Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay aforesaid, do hereby notify and proclaim that the land described*in the annexed Schedule is reserved from Public Sale for purposes of special settlement under the additional Land Regulations of the Province of Wellington, of the 15th February, 1855, from the day of the date hereof. Dated the thirtieth day of dune, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five. DONALD M'LEAN, Superintendent. SCHEDULE. PROVINCE OF HAWKE’S BAY. Mahia Block— l6,ooo Acres. Boundaries s Commencing at Oraka, thence it runs to Pareihej thence to Mangaroa, thence to Punawehiwehi, to Otamoana, to Kaitangi Karoro, to Hautaroa, Mangaowhau, Tikopu, Pakake-a-Makere, Wakakaumu, A Hika Tupuni Wairenganui, Pukewhatu, Maungatea, and the sea; thence on the Ahimauawa and to Taramahiti te Moemotu, te Ika, a-Tama-te-Hoe-te Wakatahoe te Kereru Maota, Mokotoi te Mahia, te Waha o Tounga, te Upoka o Tataramoa, Papawha-Kaanga, Taki taki te Pakipaki, and thence to Oraka, the commencement of the boundaries. A piece is to be reserved for the natives at Kinikiui under the hill called Taupiri, as a fishing residence, as more particularly shown on the plan annexed to the Deed of Sale. Nuhaka Block —lo,ooo Acres. Boundaries: Commencing at the mouth of the Nuhaka river and follows the course of that river to lat. 30q South, being the Northern Boundary of the Province of Hawke’s Bay; thence following that meridian in an easterly direction to a line starting from Tamata o rika to Taumatakaingakaka, thence to Teikatieri, Taumata o te Tahinga, Ngawhakatakariri, Pukateanui Tamahini a 'i'utaorau, Parihikanui; here it descends to the coast, and follows the coast to Waikokopu te Huki Takararoa, te Iho-o-te-rataau, Te-uruti-te-awa-a-tamatea, Waitaniwha, Wamema Hou hou o tu, te Araputa Waitio Whataroa, and the mouth of the Nuhaka tho commencement of the boundary. Loweb Waxeoa 810ck —3570 Acres. Boundaries; Commencing at the Waiotureia, and goes thence to Papa o to Uetaha to Whanga a to Ruruku, Heru heru, te Wai o te Manu i teka, te Kaonga } here it descends into the Wairoa, and follows the Wairoa upwards to the Whakahu; here it leaves the Wairoa, and ascending the Rauhirihiri Creek it goes on to the Ahimanawha ; descendin a thence into the Hounui Creek, it follows the Hounui Creek to the beach to Whakamahu, thence along tbc beach to Eaugihoua, and from Rangihoua te the mouth of the VV airoa at te Ari o Tapuae; thence it follows the Wairoa to te Waiotureia,’ the commencement of the boundary. Uepee Waxeoa Block—l,ooo Acres. Boundaries: Commencing at the Waiotureia, the boundary of the land ceded to the Queen, thence it follows the Wairoa River upwards to the fence of Pero, W. Lockwood ; here leaving the Wairoa, it goes inland to Te Noti a Kapau ; thence by the Ara Totaki to Rakautihia, and to the Wai o te Manu i te Ra, which is its junction with the boundary ot the land sold to the Go vernment by Paora, Hipora, and Pitiera. Waihua Block— 2l,ooo Acres. Boundaries : Commencing on the coast at Mangapukatea, thence proceeds inland ascending to Waiorangi, thence to Taumaro o te Pakipaki, thence to Hinepaka, thence to Waha ote Rangi, thence to the Whakaruarutnaru, thence to Puketoi, thence to Wharekai, thence to Kaihunahuna, thence to the Hinu, thence along the path till it reaches Kai Matariki, and from Kai Matariki to Haraungamea thence to Wairama; here it descends into the source of Waihua, and follows the course of Waihua to the coast, and then proceeds along the coast, to Mangapuketea, the commencement of the boundary. I HEREBY authorise my brother Eustace Fan nin to transact all my business and do de clare that his signature will be sufficient and bin d ing on me in any transactions he may undertake for me relative to Waikokopu Run and the Sheep now depasturing thereon, and do also authorise him to receive money and make payments for me.
