NON-ARRIVAL OF THE ENGLISH MAIL. We take the following from the New Zealand Herald’s second edition, of Friday the 23rd inst. Herald Office, Friday, 8 - 30 a.m. The Lord Ashley, Capt. Randall, left Sydney at 4 p.xn. of 17th, and lip to that time the mail had not arrived at Adelaide. Passed the Heads at 5 p.m. For the first 48 hours from Sydney the wind was easterly. Thence to North Cape, which was passed the at 1 p;in. of 16th, , had light northerly 1 to N,E. winds. The Novelty left Sydney for Auckland on the 12th instant.
