From the Daily limes. Five small vessels arrived from Hokitika in the forenoon, two of them, the Cymraes and Lady Franklin, having made very rapid passages. Her passage down via Cooks’ Strait, was made in seven days and a-half. From Captain Perkins, of the Cymraes, which brings some hides and sheepskins, we have received copies of the West Coast Times of Saturday, 13th inst., and, in addition to the items of intelligence contained therein, he reports the arrival of the paddle-steamer New Zealand, from Melbourne. She arrived on the day she sailed, and crossed Hokitika bar in safety, but grounded in the river, her extreme length preventing her from readily taking the turns of the stream. The schooner Wallace had sailed, and the Brothers was about to leave. She had made a passage thither of thirty-four days, having experienced rough weather, during which she carried away booms, rudder irons, Ac., and received other damage. The Matilda Hayes had sailed for Okeritu. Among (he vessels in port, there were the Mary Ann Every, Flying Squirrel, Craiflevar, lotto, Ada, and Connaught Banger. The Yarra was at anchor outside. Nothing was seen 'of the Omeo,' nor had he Lady Darliug, or Alhambra arrived. Of the other vessels here the Elizabeth Curie called at the Bluff on her passage round, and the Wild Wave also called there for a suply of water, having been out some days with a number of passengers an board.
