TO THE ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF NAPIER.

Per favor of the Hawke's Bay Times. . ? Gentlemen—When MrT. K. Newton resigned his seat in the Council he very candidly informed us that it was for the protection of his own interests that he did so (see his notice to the electors in Hawke's Bay Times, 9th January, 1862). We are taught to suppose that our representatives will consider the interests of (he electors before their own ; hut as this is not to ho expected in the case of Mr T. K. Newton, some inconvenience may be expected to result from tHa operation of his peculiar views on this point if ho should be elected, ELECTOR.
