Conveyance of Mails. SEALED TENDERS will be received at this Office untill Saturday, the 20th May, 1865, at 4 .o’clock p.m., from persons desirous of contracting for the following Mail service, for the period of six months from Ist July next. WEEKLY. 1. Between Napieb arid Waipawa. in a two or four-wheeled vehicle, drawn by not less than two horses. Lockers for the mail bags to be water-tight and roomy. To start from the Chief Post Office, Napier, on TUESDAY, 4th July, at 7 o’clock a m , and on every succeeding Tuesday at the same hour, and to arrive at Waipawa at 4 p.m. of the same day. The contracior to be bound in a penalty that will enable the Chief Postmaster, at any time that the contractor may fail in carrying out his contract to employ a substitute; and that he is to receive, convey, and deliver, as addressed, all such mails as may be delivered to him by any Postmaster at any Post Office oo the line. The contractor will be permitted to carry passengers and parcels, provided it does not in anyway interfere with the mail service. The return mail to leave Waipawa on Friday in every week at 7 «.tn„ and to arrive at this office at 4 p.m. of the same day2. VA AIPAWA to PoBAXOAHATT. To leave Waipawa every Tuesday, half-an-hoar after the arrival of the mail from Napier, and to arrive at Waipukurau the same evening.
