Gardeners’ Calendar.—April.— Earth up all the cabbage, peas, beans, Ac., as they advance in growth; make another plantation of cauliflowers; earth up celery' keeping the mould from the hearts of the plants; empty spaces must be dug and trenched; raspberries pruned: potatoes and Jerusalem artichokes dug up; transplant the cabbaga tribe, parsnips, carrots, &c., for seeding; cut oil' the runners from strawberries to insrease the crop; dig flower borders; replant bulbs in web-prepared soil. Plant forest trees of all sorts in well-pulverized soil, also cuttings and layers. Collect tree seeds and transplant native trees and shrubs.
