Among the lots catalogued at a sale of English books which lately took place in Calcutta were the following:—“ Mill on Jurisprudence,” “Ditto on “ The Floss The intelligent audio ieer had coupled “Mill on Jurisprudence” with Miss Evans’s well known novel, “ The Mill on the Floss!” A man’s wife often gives him all the moral strength he has. She is at once his rib and backbone.
