GARDEN CALENDAR.
At the urgent request of several subscribers, we give the Garden. Calendar for the month:— Transplant out the general crop of brocoli, cauliflowers, and savoys two feet apart each way; also, cabbages 18 inches distant; sow a crop of turnips for autumn and winter use; sow and transplant lettuce, endive, radish, mustard and cress, in small quantities weekly, to keep up a constant supply of salad Sow for a late crop dwarf, early frame and charlton peas, choosing a wet time (if possible) for the purpose. Sow round leaf spinach; take off the superfluous shoots of young trees, earth up kidney beans, root up weeds, plant celery in trenches well manured, kept watered during the dry, hot weather,—From Bull’s Wellington Almanack.
