LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
Hawke’s Bay Races, 1865.—A meeting was held at the Masonic Hotel, on Monday night last, for the purpose of arranging for the ensuing races. Mr. F. Chapman occupied the chair, when the following gentlemen were appointed :—Stewards, —Messrs. Ormond, Cooper, Rich, Chapman, and Powdrell; Secretary,—Mr. G. Harris ; Treasurer, —Mr. Richardson. The races were fixed to take place on the Ist and 2nd of March next.
