Hawke’s Bay Races, 1865. A PRELIMINARY MEETING will be held at the Masonic Hotel, on MONDAY, the 12tb December, at 7 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of arranging matters in connexion with the Races for 1865. All persons interested are invited to attend. Office of Militia & Volunteers, Napier, 6th November, 1864. XXTITH reference to the Monthly Parade VV Militia and Volunteers for inspection of Arms, it is distinctly to be understood that all persons having in their possession arms issued, from the Government are to attend, and will be liable to be summarily dealt with for disobedience. CAPTAIN’S PARADES will be held, weather permitting, on the usual Parade Ground, as follows: Morning at 6‘30 a.m.; Evening at 7 p.m., each day from the 12th to the 19th December, both dates inclusive. AGREEABLE to instructions received from the Deputy Adjutant-General of Militia and Volunteers, dated Auckland, the 17th November, I 1864, the whole of the Militia and Volunteers in ! this Province will parade at least once in each month until further orders, on their usual drill grounds, as follows, for the inspection of their Arms, Accoutrements, &c., viz.:— MILITIA. Nos. 1 and 2 Companies with the Rifle Volunteers, at 7 o’clock a.m., Saturday, the 17th December, 1864. No. 3 Company, the Clive Subdivision, at 11 o’clock a.m.: the Havelock Subdivision at 2 o’clock p.m., on Saturday, the 17th December, 1864. No. 4 Company, Meanee Squad, at 10 o’clock am. Puketapu at 12 noon, the 19th December, 1864. Petane Spuad, at 2 o’clock, p.m" the 20th December, 1864. No. 5 Company, Kereru Subdivision, at 2 o’clock p.m., 22nd. Te Kopanga Subdivision at 3 o’clock 0.m., 27th December, 1864. No. 6 Company, The Waipawa Subdivision, at 10 o’clock a.m., the remainder at 4 o’cloock p.m., 28th December, 1864.
