FOE GOVERNMENT HOUSE : Ist Premium, of £2OO, to tho motto IX (in a circle). 2nd Premium, of £IOO, to motto “Yours in haste.” 11. FOE THE SUPREME COURT-HOUSE : Ist Premium, of £2OO, to the motto “ Eiat Justitia.” 2nd Premium, of £IOO, to the motto “ Equity.” 111. EOR THE POST OFFICE AND CUSTOM; HOUSE (COMBINED.) Ist Premium, of £2OO, to the motto “ In Hoc Signo Vinces.” 2nd Premium, of £IOO, to “ Light of other days.” On opening the letters of the successful!competitors, The motto IX (in a circle) was found to be that of Mr. Rumsay, of Dunedin ; and “Yours m haste,” Mr. Baston, of Hobart Town. The motto “Eiat Justitia,” Mr. Honey, of Sydney ; and “ Equity,” Mr. Clark, of Melbourne. Tho motto “In Hoc Signo Vinces,” Mr. Baston of Hobart Town ; and “ Light of other days” (no letter was found for this motto).
