LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
Military.—The company of the 14th Regiment,, which had been stationed at Waipawa for some time, arrived in town on Friday afternoon last. They marched to barracks headed by the band, playing some lively tunes.
Caution to Householders. —We would draw the attention of householders to the fact that they are liable to a penalty in the event of their chimneys catching fire. Two instances occurred on Saturday night,—one at the club; the other on the White Road, but fortunately without dm'ncf anv misnhL.f
