LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
His Honor the Superintendent, accompanied by Mr. M. Fitzgerald and Mr. Grindell, left to-day for Te Wairoa—for what purpose is known only to the few, we suppose. The Lady Bird arrived from Wellington and Southern Ports yesterday. She brings us files from the first-named port to the 15th inst., but thej contain no news of importance.
