LOCAL INTELLIGENCE
Provincial Legislation.- —By a Gazette oftlio 20th inst., we find that his Excellency has assented to three of the acts passed by the Council last session, viz., “ Sheep and Scab Amendment Act,” “Hawke’s Bay Police Act,” and “Loan Appropriation Act.” We are glad, however, to know that the others, some of which would no doubt have a deleterious effect if put into operation, arc reserved for further consideration.
