The Provincial Council meeting came to an end last Wednesday, after a very protracted and unprofitable session, during which the Government side signalized itself by still-born measures, and the passing of one or two very absurd Acts. The} have recognized and recorded a most important fact, and one which should be treasured up in the mind of man, —“Sheep are better than men : happy is the man who hath his quiver full of them.” And so ends this strange eventless tale. “ What a poor penny-worth of bread to such an intolerable deal of sack.”
