LaSeeee.— At the Resident Magistrate’s Court, on Tuesday last, plaintiff sought to recover £5 Bs. for articles supplied to men of the Colonial Defence Force on the order of H. Plaintiff afterwards saw defendant about the 6th June, and was informed by him (defendant) that he would not be responsible after that date for anything the men might get. Defendant stated that he was not responsible for any orders not drawn by himself.—The Court recommended the parties to settle the matter out of Court, but wo are informed that no settlement has yet been arrived at.
