John’s CHURCH, Napier, are hereby invited to attend a Public Meeting for the purpose of receiving from the Churchwardens and Vestrymen, the usual yearly report; of electing a parishioner’s Churchwarden, Vestrymen, and Auditors for the ensuing year, and of authorizing the enlargement of the Church. THE FOLLOWING RULES were passed at a meeting held by the Committee on the 2nd inst., and are published for the information of members:— The shooting for prizes to take place on the last SATURDAY of every three months, ':provided one-half the members are present, and 'the day favorable; if not, to be deferred till the following Saturday- The first firing to take place on the last SATURDAY in AUGUST. The amount to be shot for to be 4-sths of the money subscribed. The number of prizes to be shot for to be V ; 6 to be of equal amount and the Vth one-half more. Any member arriving on the ground after the first range has been fired, shall be disqualified for firing for any prize on that day. The Government rules to be strictly adhered to ; and one of the Committee to be appointed to superintend the firing for the day. It is also proposed that every exertion shall be made to obtain a suitable range in some locality where the safety and convenience of the public shall not be interfered with.
