April 16 — Queen, s.s. 177 tons, Francis, for Auckland, with 1335 cags oats, &c., original cargo from Wellington. Shipped at Napier—6 kegs butter, order. Passenger—W. Young. April 21 — Star of the South 147 tons, Hodge, for Auckland, with 33 head of cattle, 750 sheep. Watt, Kennedy, & Watt agents. The ship Wild Hitch, Captain Bishop, cleared at the Customs on Friday last, for London direct, with a full cargo of Colonial Produce, and has been lying out in the fairway, awaiting the arrival of the steamer Lord Ashley, from Napier, with passengers. She is the fourth wool ship that has been despatched from Wellington this season. Her cargo is a valuable one, being estimated at £49,779 ; which, added to that of the other vessels, makes a total of £166,417, value of wool and other produce exported from Wellington to the Mother Country this season. She carries with her a full complement of passengers, amongst whom are several old and valued colonists, voyaging to the old country, some for health, some for business, and two or three juveniles for Rugby and elsewhere, including Mr. and Mrs. St. Hill, the hon. Mr. and Mrs. Tollemache, Messrs. Nairne, Duncan, Russell, M’Lean, Barraud, Riddifords (2) Tanner, Mrs. Chas. Mills and several other ladies. Wellington Independent, April 12.
