To the Editor of the Hawke's Bay Times,
Sm, —I see by an advertisement ■which appeared in the Herald of Wednesday last that Mr. Bousfield is going to be opposed in the coming election for the Napier Country District, a A.
Richardson having announced his intention coming forward as a candidate for the vacant seatNow, in all human probability this gentleman is a thick and thin supporter of the M’Lean government ; in fact, being a runholder he cannot help being a “ chum” of the worthy Donald. Let the electors of the Napier Country District he on their guard as to whom they elect. They might find a better man than Mr. Bousfield; but is it not possible to find a worse ? And a gentleman who is a “ thick and thin” supporter of the wretched Government, having for its head Donald M’Lean, Esq., is a decidedly worse man, when we consider the extremely foolish manner in which the said Government acted during last session of our Provincial Council.
