A Provincial Government Gazette was issued on Eriday last, containing the appointment of Mr. Alexander M’Hardy, as Inspector of Sheep for the Port of Napier ; three sections of the Tikokino Reserve Act, which have already appeared in our columns; an abstract of Receipts and Expenditure for the quarter ending 30th June, 1863 ; Report of the Chief Provincial Surveyor for the past half year; a proclamation by his honor the Superintendent restricting the importation of cattle from parts of Australia, Tasmania, Great Britain and Ireland, Cape of Good Hope, and New Zealand ; two proclamations by the Superintendent notifying that 86 acres in the North Porangahau Block, at the upset price of 10s. per acre, and 275 acres at Pourerere, in the Hapuku Block, are open to public competition and selection and a return of lands sold,applicationsreceived for ss. land to go to Auction, and Naval and Military settlers Land Orders exercised during the month of December last. The Late Burglary. —Private Brett of the 14th Regiment appeared again on Saturday last at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, but as no further evidence was adduced and Mr. Robjohn had some difficulty in recognizing the coin mentioned in our issue of Friday last, the Bench released defendant from bail.
