AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Mr. Auckland's Report for the week ending January 8. Mr. Buckland reports his sales during the past week to hare been well attended, and prices show some improvement over the previous month. The cattle by the Harriet Armylaye, from Newcastle, brought an average of £l4. Those by the W. C. Wentworth, from Clarence River, arrived in very bad condition, they averaged £l3 6s. Merino wethers, shorn, mixed consignment as to quality 20s, each. The fat stock market lias been fairly supplied with an improved demand, and prices have rallied for best quality 2s. 6d, per 100 lbs. Fat sheep and lambs were in moderate supply, and fully maintained late prices. Messrs. Styak and Hunter s Report. Horses.—Wo have no sales to report this week. Fax Cattle. —The supply was very good, and fully sufficient for the market requirements. The rates of prior weeks hardly maintained. We sold bullocks at £ls to £lB 7s. 6d. ; cows, £lO 15s. to £1(310s. Fat Sheep and Lambs.— The supply was sufficient, and the quality moderate ; full rates were maintained. Sheep sold at 26s to 35s ; lambs, 18s to 20s. 6d. DAiriY and Store Cattle were in good demand and ruled high in price. Dairy cows, £ll 17s, fid to £l6 5s ; store do, £8 to £lO 10s ; bullocks, £0 2s. Gd. to £l2 ; heifers and steers, £8 to £lO. Stoke Sheep. —None in the market. Pigs scarce. Those in sold at the usual high prices.
