The Ferry Punt will bo kept in constant repair by the Provincial Government. The Ferryman will be required to be in attendance from sunrise throughout the year to nine o’clock p.m. in summer and seven o’clock in winter, and will be authorised' to collect tolls according to the undermentioned scale, viz:— s. d. Parties tendering must state the rent they are willing to pay for the Ferry House and Punt, and name two persons as sureties who will be prepared to enter into a joint bond for £2OO for the due performance of the duties required, and for the delivery of the Ferry House and Punt at the end of the term. PARTIES tem'ering for any of the abovementioned articles must specify in their tenders the names of their sureties, who will be bound conjointly in a bond for a regular sup, ly of the article or articles they may engage to furnish. It shall be distinctly understood that in all cases the articles are to be of the best description ; and should any bad or faulty articles be furnished by the contractor, no payment will be made for the same, and they will have to take them back at their own expense, and supply a good article in their place ; failing which, the Provincial Government may order them to be procured at the expense of the contractor wherever they can be obtained.
