AtTCTiw Sales. —The Court of Common Pleas has decided (in re Green v. Baverstock) that ■where a person is employed to bid, with the knowledge of the auctioneer, the sale is vitiated, and consequently void. Troops pob New Zealand.— Several men of the Ist and 2nd battalion of the 14th King’s Own, 35th Royal Sussex, 19th, and 81st Regiments at Chatham, have volunteered their services into the 2nd Battalian 18th Royal Irish, 40th, 57th, 65th, and 70th regiments, and also for the 31st, which regiment is ordered from China to New Zealand. A number of men from the different dep6ts at Colchester have also volunteered their services in the above regiments. Dep.-Ass.-Commissary-Gen. Ivan R.C.C. Graham, lately serving at Guernsey, is under orders to proceed to New Zealand.— glish Paper.
