LOCAL INTELLIGENCE

Separation Anniversary. —Monday and Tuesday, the 2nd and 3rd of November next, have been fixed upon as holidays to celebrate this event in the history of the Province. Amongst the festivities on this occasion, it will be observed, from our advertising columns, that a ball is announced to take place on the first-named day, and a rifle-shooting match is also contemplated, of which we shall hear more probably by next week.

A three-masted vessel was observed in the offing last evening, coming from the .South.
