LOCAL INTELLIGENCE
As will be seen from our advertising columns, Mrs. Robson’s concert takes place on Tuesday evening next. We learn that this will be the last occasion on which Mrs. Robson or Capt. Withers will appear publicly in Napier.
Fire near Watpawa. —Between twelve and one o’clock on Friday last, the house of G. S. Cooper, Esq., Woodlands, was found to be in flames, and we believe that the escape of the inmates was not without danger. The origin of the fire is unknown, but it spread so rapidly that nothing but a few papers and blankets were saved. The building was, we believe, insured.
