To the Electors of the Country Districts. GENTLEMEN, —As Captain Carter has accepted the office of Crown Land Commissioner and Treasurer, his seat in the Provincial Council as member for the Country Districts has become vacant. Under these circumstances, I beg leave to offer myself for that seat, and in doing so I can but remind you that I am one of the oldest settlers in the province, and have, up to this date, for eleven years been actively engaged in the Public Service, but have resigned my office, and that as I am myself a small holder, my interests are identical with that portion of this community.
